FanFormula: Week 11. China.

So this week's FanFormula is back to Female Formula Fun standards.
By this I mean... I can't talk properly on my video.
This does happen on a regular basis, but I'm sure if still watching my videos after 11 weeks.
Then you must be liking my silly little slip ups.

This week I also talk about money, do the Vettel finger and try to remember when Fisichella actually won a race.

And on to this week's FanFormula questions for China.

Question One. 
There seemed to be three incidents of unsafe release in the pitlane: Schumi, Lewis vs Kimi and Alonso vs Lewis. Mercedes have been fined 5000 euros with the other two incidents unpenalised. What are your views on the mentioned moments and the penalty for Mercedes?

Question Two 
The 2011 Chinese Grand Prix was said to be marred by too many 'DRS' overtakes; What is your view on the effectiveness of DRS in this years event and do you have a favourite battle for position for the race?

Question Three
With unexpected cold conditions in China do you think that Mercedes race pace is better in colder conditions with both McLaren drivers believing the warmer temperatures will positively affect the McLaren car in Bahrain and will this bode well for Mercedes in the upcoming European leg?

Bonus Question
After an incredible pole win conversion making it 6 different winners for the past 6 GPs do you think we will see a 7th different in Bahrain?

FanFormula: Week 10. Easter & Who to follow.

So this week's FanFormula was my longest video yet.
Mainly because I got all hi-tech with the cardboard again to bring you my twitter and blogging recommendations. I did also answer some questions too even with my chronic hayfever.
So now I have stopped moaning.

Here is this week's FanFormula questions.

Question One.
It has come to light that Lotus formerly known as Renault is no longer supported by Group Lotus due to financial difficulties for the company. However the team will be known as Lotus for the forseeable future. What is your view on the situation and what impact do you think this will have on the team?

Question Two
With less then two weeks until the Bahrain Grand Prix, speculations and rumours have gone into overdrive. Do you think the event will go ahead and what do you see the resulting circumstances to be?

Question Three
It appears that a French Grand Prix return is imminent for 2013 but which track (Magny Cours or Paul Ricard) would you like to see return and why?

Bonus Question
During the long break between Malaysia and China have you found any blogs/twitters/people that have been interesting to read and that you would recommend to others.

FanFormula: Week 9. Ten percent.

This week's FanFormula involved an early morning start, some huge hair and a piece of cardboard.
With all that going on.
I'm surprised a video even happened really.

But on to subject.
Here is this week's FanFormula questions.

Question One
In the past two races we have seen four different constructors on the podium. With the recent break do you think that any teams in particular will have made a large improvement or will this only occur by the European leg of the calendar?

Question Two
This weekend has seen the kick off for some of the lower series including BTCC, Clio Cup and during the race weekend IndyCar. Have you watched any of these series and if so why and how?

Question Three
With the Crazy Chinese grand prix fast approaching it will be the first grand prix that the BBC will be showing live and will be in direct competition with Sky. Who do you think the majority will choose and which will you be watching live?

Bonus Question
Vettel referred to Karthikeyan has a cucumber post the Malaysian GP but if you could represent a driver of your choice as a food, which food would it be and why?

The gossip I don't want to go away.

So a few days ago word was spread of a scuffle between Force India driver Adrian Sutil and McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton in a bar in China.

Nothing more was said really which left me and I'm sure a few other F1 fans slightly confused as to what actually occured.

Well today came the confirmation we needed.

But I will post the jist. (This was translated from Italian to English, so there might be a few spelling and grammar mistakes. Just like all my blog posts)

422race.com is now able to reveal the details of the event: the person involved in the brawl with the Force India driver is Eric Lux, the number two of Genii Capital, an investment fund that owns the Lotus team Renault GP and the right arm of team president Gerard Lopez. Observers have noted in the paddock several wounds on the throat of Lux at the last weekend in Istanbul and a team spokesman confirmed the incident.

"I can confirm that on the evening of Sunday after the Grand Prix there was an incident involving Eric Lux, Capital of the Genii," he told 422race.com. "Lotus Renault GP, however, not in a position to make any comment because it is a private matter between Eric and the other person. " And the other person to whom the spokesperson refers to, but being very careful not to name it, it's Adrian Sutil.

The brawl happened at the club M1NT Sunday night. Some people have noticed this in a hurry Lux make their way through the crowd coming out of a private with his neck bleeding and frightened expression. Seconds later, Lewis Hamilton emerged from the same small room, surrounded by his bodyguards. Our sources have not been able to confirm if his friend Adrian Sutil was with him but after a few seconds, entering the same VIP room, there was no sign of him.

Nothing is known about the reasons for the punch, even if Sutil would have run away from China shortly after to avoid legal problems in this regard. An official spokesman for the FIA, however, confirmed to 422race.com that the Federation is investigating the matter and that no action will be taken on in respect of Sutil. A substantial "no comment" even by the Force India, who have declared our microphones through a spokesman: "It 's a private matter between the parties involved and we have no information on it, so we do not intend to make any comment."

So Lewis wasn't the one in the fight at all. He just happened to be in the same room. (We all know Sutil and Hamilton are really good friends off track.)

So the teams aren't commenting on this. The FIA isn't getting involved and all we get is this statement from Adrian, which doesn't tell us much.

Firstly it has everything to do with Formula One.

Secondly how do you "Unintentionally" hit someone anyway?

So with a million questions unanswered. That apparently it.

But it definitely shouldn't be.

This can't be allowed to be forgotten. Not at least until we know all the facts has to why Sutil "Unintentionally" hit Eric Lux

All Formula One drivers have a right to a private life, this I agree on but these guys are role models to so many people. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this kind of behaviour in public. If I "Unintentionally" hit someone. I could easily be done on an assault charge in the UK. Just because this happened in China,it makes no difference. A sorry by Sutil doesn't cover it, not by any stretch.

So until a proper reason breaks though for why this incident occurred. I promise to keep this in the public eye. Violence, doesn't solve anything and violence shouldn't be in Formula One. Full Stop.

Diary of a F1 weekend: China

Hope you enjoyed the Formula one this week.

So here is my post about the Chinese Grand Prix.

I didn't miss it all. Apart from some practices.

Friday

Now I was at work at 9am. So I knew that I wouldn't get the chance to see first practice. I had done a 10 hour shift the day before and a 3am start wasn't on my list of things to do.

Luckily second practice was on at 7am and I have to get up at 6am. So I managed to catch a little of OQN losing another front wing.

Saturday.

Was a carbon copy of Friday. Third practice was missed so I could catch up on my sleep but I managed to watch qualifying because I was up ready for work.

I loved that Quali two was like a miniature race due to Petrov's car breaking down.

In fact Petrov should break down every quali so we can have more exciting qualifying.

(Now I'm starting to sound like Crazy Bernie and his sprinkler system, Of course I don't want Petrov to break down every week. It was just nice to have a more panic, rushed and strategic qualifying)

Sunday

I was off work on Sunday so I managed to watch the whole of the race including the build up. The race on Sunday was one of the most exciting all dry races we have had in a long time. We had no idea who was going to win the race and even though my bet on Rosberg to be on the podium went down the toilet. (One pound I'm never seeing again. )

This sadly didn't happen :(:(:(

It was amazing to just for once,to plan your loo breaks because you didn't want to miss a single second.

Also on a complete side note. I loved the graphics about the race in Malaysia. About the Driver strategy, the number of pits stops and what they thought won each driver the position in there race.

Also what was nice to see was a great amount of reliability.

Jaime Alguersuari was the only retirement, that was only due to the wheel he lost in his poor pitstop. If he hadn't of lost that and damaged some suspension. We could of seen every car finish.

One day that will be the dream. :)
